Last night I had the enormous pleasure of attending the Grand Opening of the Chateaux at Silver Lake with Jacque Riehl (Riehl Events), Hilary Anderson (Alta Moda Bridal), and Tessa Woolf (edior of Utah Bride & Groom Magazine). We had a fabulous time and enjoyed cocktails, excellent food and a small tour of the event spaces. 

The hotel was truly impressive and features both indoor and outdoor function spaces. Wedding and Event spaces and amenities include:

• 9,320 square feet of indoor meeting space
• 6,627 square foot Impressionist Ballroom
• 1,200 square feet of pre-function space
• One boardroom
• Courchevel and Marseille Meeting Rooms
• Business Center

A spa is in the works and did I mention we got to take a look at a 3-bedroom guest suite that featured fireplaces in every bedroom? That's my kind of lodging!

We spent most of our evening at the cocktail reception (go figure...!) held inside Cena, the Chateaux's on site restaurant. Some of the tasty treats Cena's menu boasts are fresh (made on site!) mozzarella, Fried Clams, Braised Pork Shank & Port Figs, Grilled Rib-Eye Steak and Shrimp Gemelli- all under $23! This family-friendly menu is priced just right. Cena's Executive Chef, Chris Wellmon, has done a fantastic job. After the four of us ladies finished first and second (and third and fourth) trips to the food stations, we enjoyed desert... A LOT.

We finally rolled ourselves out after a wonderful evening and were gifted Creminelli Salamis packaged beautifully in a wooden box and fashioned with a festive bow. If you're looking for a weekend getaway with your girlfriends to a spa, a sexy weekend with your special someone or a fabulous location for your upcoming wedding, The Chateaux offers all three and more.
